RAW

I just published another poetry book. RAW is a collection of poetry written through periods of depression. It reveals wounds mirrored throughout my lifetime. These poems deal with depression, emotional abuse, toxic relationships, menopause, self-hatred, dieting, and more. It is not a nice book. The language is rough, attitude’s harsh, and overall it is dark and discouraging. Truth is a heavy burden to hear. This is a book of those heavy truths.

No hype. No promotions. No book release. This is a cleansing for me. I am purging these secrets from the archives. Many of the poems were written years ago. I write to document my life. I do this for me. 2025 was a difficult year. Post-menopause looks ugly, feels ugly, and honestly kicked me down an ominous well. I needed to write these terrible poems so I will remember what I went through. No one warned me about this stuff. I have never been depressed. It needed to be documented.

I’m looking forward to the rest of 2026 as there is much to look forward to. That’s for another time, another story, another post. Until then, thanks for reading.

RAW is available on Amazon for $15.

A Kaleidastorm Story with Journal Prompts

My first self-published book, Kaleidastorm-Beauty in the Storms of Life, was written ten years ago in 2015.  Back then, I was going through a divorce. I was living in the basement of a house I was taking care of, in the owner’s absence.

I was deeply wounded, emotionally and spiritually. I wrote the story I needed to read. I wrote the story of my healing journey before I even knew that’s what I was on.

It’s been 10 years and I am in a better place with a new life. As I re-read this story, I realized I had created a blueprint for my healing. Some say I manifested my future by writing it down. For this reason, I created journal prompts.

For 10 years this book has been published with mistakes that were unable to be edited because the manuscript was lost. In 2025, I discovered a way to get it back; I read my book into a document and spent months editing. With a new title, new last name, and new journal prompts, I am able to republish the story. I didn’t rewrite the manuscript into a smooth flowing novel. I kept it the way it was written-as bi-weekly posts on a digital literary platform, collected into a print book.

Spring Art Show

May 3, 2025

My oil painting of “Trees on the Lake” was on display at the Spring Art Show at Osamequin Farm in Seekonk MA this month. It was a surreal moment for me to walk into the barn and see my painting hanging on the wall in the main room. My friend Jill, who invited me to the show and suggested I enter, also had art on display.

Jill, myself and my husband Craig all did spoken word poetry as well. The crowd was engaged and seemed to really enjoy all that we shared. It was a wonderful first experience for me and I am happy I entered my art.
