After 5 years of poetry open mics, Pawtucket Poetry was forced to close its doors in March of 2025. This temporary setback is not the end, it is simply a season of change. What’s next? I am going to take as much of 2025 as I need to complete creative projects, and redevelop the framework of Pawtucket Poetry; what it means to me, what I want to do with it, and where I aim to take it in the future.
Pawtucket Poetry is a brand that is part of my legacy, it is not going away. What is going away is social media (to some extent.) Facebook is gone. Threads is gone, TikTok is frozen in time because I cannot get into the account, and Instagram is undergoing major renovations.
Until we meet again, whether at an event or on the streets, please know you are in my thoughts.
